Uses of Safety Eye Hooks

People have used hook and eye clasps for several decades on many different articles of jewelry and clothing. Hook and eye clasps are used in lieu of a safety pin for safety reasons. They are generally fitted into clothing that is meant for fastening close to the skin, such as bras.
Safety eye hooks are great on corsets
Today's version of a corset usually has a line of eyelets and a line of hooks on either side. Depending on the size of the corset and the amount of pressure that the hook and eyes must hold together, the number of hook and eyelet fasteners would range from one to 10 clasps. The more pressure the corset needs to hold, the more hook and eyelet sets appear on the clothing article.
Safety eye hooks on bras
Safety eye hook fasteners have the same concept as with the corsets. The eyelet is installed into one side of the bra and the hooks on the other side. When closed, the hook inserts into the eyelet and holds the bra closed. Twisting and bending do not effect the security that the latch provides.
Hook and eye clasps are handy for a number of clothing articles, and people for generations have used them for thousands of different projects. The comfort that hook and eye clasps provide outweighs any other type of fastener; especially those that could possibly stab the wearer. Not only are they used for clothing but lots of creative craft projects as well.
